Ah, there's no way I could possibly sum up the events of Saturday, July 25, 2009, in one word, but I can in two: F*CKING METAL! The Hot Topic stage had Whitechapel, Behemoth, The Black Dahlia Murder, Job for a Cowboy, and Cannibal Corpse. The Jagermeister stage had God Forbid, All That Remains, and Trivium. And the main stage had Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Slayer, and Marilyn Manson.
I didn't get to see Whitechapel because I was in line to meet Trivium (and I got my picture taken with Matt Heafy) and Job for a Cowboy, but I was able to check out Behemoth. Then we wandered around the merch booths for a while and headed back for All That Remains. Then I got my picture taken with Behemoth, then I stood in line to meet Killswitch Engage, which meant that I had to miss Job for a Cowboy and most of Trivium's act (but I got to the Jager stage just in time for the last song, "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr"!). Then we passed up Cannibal Corpse to make our way over to the main stage to wait for the big show to start. BFMV went on first, then after a 20 minute wait, it was time for KSE (who were absolutely amazing!). I wish we could have left then, because to be honest, I've never liked Slayer or Manson, but my brother-in-law wanted to stay. So I got the full show. And I have to say that if I ever got another chance to see a show like that, I'd take it in a heartbeat (provided I had the money, heheh).
